"Gallery Talk" at The Presbyterian Church in Needham

posted Mar 6, 2013, 9:25 AM by TN Editor   [ updated Mar 6, 2013, 9:31 AM ]

An Invitation

Everyone who uses the church building has now seen and begun to enjoy the new artwork on the walls in the narthex and church hallways. These works, in mosaic and stained glass, depict various Biblical scenes, and are given to the The Presbyterian Church in Needham by Beth Craft as a memorial to her brother, Michael Holleman. The artist is Beth and Michael’s father, Mr. David Holleman of Lexington, a distinguished artist and teacher whose work is displayed around the world. On Sunday, March 17 – after worship and a luncheon – everyone is invited to gather for a dedication of the artwork and a “gallery talk” by Mr. Holleman, as he explains the themes, inspirations and techniques of each piece. Please plan to join us, and feel free to invite friends and art lovers as well. All are welcome to worship and lunch, or to come at 1:00 pm for the dedication and talk.
